What we do
Stitch Kitchen operates a ‘Maker’s Pantry’ resource shop for redistributing surplus textiles, facilitates sewing classes, and collaborates with local organisations on volunteer projects. Resources are donated to us from the public, local businesses and events organisations. These are curated and on-sold, or used in community projects. Resources are also used in our sewing classes on skills including repair, ‘upcycling’ and product design.
How we can help you to go circular
Stitch Kitchen provides businesses with a partner to support a circular economy and reduce landfill by repurposing dead stock of textiles, sewing notions and resources. We are able to stock businesses that use textiles and can source resources on as-needed or regular supply basis; with regular stock available ranging from mixed fibre ‘scraps’ to unique vintage fabric remnants and notions. We have a short-run capacity for production of gift and event bags from diverted resources, available for zero-waste conferences, events and gifts. Our customisable workshops can be used for staff development, team building and community engagement, inclusive of any skill level or experience.
